Collection: Wooden Pet Urns

Wood is warm, and warmth is what these pieces are for. Every wooden urn in this collection is handcrafted, most in Italy from sustainably sourced wood, with interiors finished in mahogany, satin ribbon, or Florentine velvet. These are pieces made to sit on a shelf among your books and photographs and look like they were always meant to be there.

About the woods, and how to choose

The Italian lines are the heart of the collection. Hudson and Madison are classic boxes with mahogany interiors, made in four finishes and up to four sizes each, from 30 to 380 cubic inches. Stanton and Thompson step up to Florentine velvet linings with a removable keepsake tray, the place for a collar tag, a whisker, or a folded note. Ludlow is the small cube of the family, 28 cubic inches with your choice of an engravable silver bone or heart pendant.

American woods bring a different grain. The Lenox pairs locally sourced poplar, cherry, or black walnut with an antique bronze band, in five sizes from 20 to 330 cubic inches. The Bleecker is hand-built oak, a twenty-faced Art Deco form with a top latch, for the pet whose personality deserved architecture.

When pet parents tell us why they chose wood, the finish rarely comes up. What they describe is quieter: a wooden box already knows how to live in a house.

Caring for a wooden urn is simple: a soft dry cloth and a spot out of direct sunlight keeps the finish looking the way it arrived.

Capacity works the usual way here: match cubic inches to pounds and round up. Every product page states the exact number, and engraving is available on several pieces at checkout.

Questions, answered

Where are these urns made?
Most are handcrafted in Italy from sustainably sourced wood. The Lenox line is crafted from locally sourced American poplar, cherry, and black walnut.

Which wooden urn has a keepsake compartment?
The Stanton and Thompson lines include a removable keepsake tray above the ash chamber, sized for a tag, a tuft of fur, or a note.

How do I care for a wooden urn?
A soft dry cloth when the finish needs it, and keep the urn out of direct sunlight. No polish or cleaner required.

Can wooden urns be engraved?
Several take engraving as an add-on at checkout, and the Ludlow includes an engravable pendant with every urn.

What size should I choose?
Figure a cubic inch for every pound they weighed, then round up. Capacities run from 20 to 380 cubic inches across the collection.
